Assessing Officials are out and about

The Assessing department is in process of checking on Building Permits and performing Sales Verification. We will be visiting all properties with active or recently closed building permits as well as all properties sold since October 1 of the previous year.

In addition, we are preparing for the 2011 Revaluation by performing a Cyclical Review of all properties within town. We have retained an outside contractor, Rockwood Appraisal Services. Through 2009, this effort will include properties located in Maps 1 through 41. We are currently focused in the area delineated as Maps 45 thru 52. If your property is located in Maps 1 through 44 and we have not had an opportunity to view your home, please call the assessing department. If your property is in Map 53 or higher, we have not been focused on your area yet, and will update this announcement when we are. If you are located within Maps 45 thru 52  we respectfully request your cooperation so that this effort will run both efficiently and economically.

We encourage you to always ask for identification, or to call this office at 603-249-0615 if you have any questions. If we have already viewed your property, we also encourage you to view your property record data.
